Many of our patients come to see us for an evaluation following an examination by their general dentist. However, unlike medical specialties, a referral from the dentist is not required to book an appointment.
Many of our patients are referred to us by current patients, former patients, neighbors, friends, and family members.
We will be happy to assist you in this regard. No one is too old or too young to get an orthodontic evaluation. Our patients range in age from 0 to 99 years old.
The initial consultation lasts about 60 minutes. During this first visit, we will perform a brief examination to determine your needs. This includes taking photos of your face and teeth, as well as dental impressions.
The clinical steps, recommended appliances, fees, and payment terms associated with the various treatment plans will also be explained to you during the second appointment.
When it’s time to begin treatment, a more in-depth diagnostic examination will be necessary.
Our youngest patients who are not yet ready for orthodontic treatment will be placed on an annual follow-up list. This way, Dr. Petkova can monitor their growth and the development of their teeth. This service will allow us to get to know your child better and make the transition smoother when the time comes to begin treatment.
